SUMMARY

Field position responsible for the logging and testing of wells associated with the extraction of uranium through in-situ mining technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Monitoring, testing and logging of wells and their structural integrity
  • Install pressure and metering equipment components
  • Monitor, interpret, analyze, and log well integrity information as generated by testing equipment
  • Understand down hole conditions as they related to in-situ mining and well-field operations
  • Report on a daily, weekly, monthly and annually on the mechanical integrity of wells
  • Understand regulatory requirements relating to the above responsibilities
  • Provide necessary maintenance to equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrable experience with installing, monitoring, logging and analyzing the process of testing the mechanical integrity of all wells associated with uranium extraction on an in-situ well-field.
  • Proven work experience in assisting in the overall development and operation of uranium in-situ mine.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and related in-situ mining experience and training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Ability to deal with vendors in the specification and ordering of basic construction materials

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to develop materials lists from basic construction drawings and P&ID’s. Ability to relate inventory to current project needs and develop construction materials lists. Ability to understand and analyze data related to measurements derived from instrumentation used in testing the structural and mechanical integrity of wells within the in-situ well-field development process.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid class “A” driver’s license is required.
